About Dr. Mazlin

Jeffrey Mazlin, M.D. is a Certified Mohel who has performed several thousand Brises in New York and New Jersey. He was trained as a Mohel at Hebrew Union College, and had attended medical school at New York Medical College.

 

As a practicing OB/GYN Dr. Mazlin has trained many resident physicians in performing safe, effective and aesthetic circumcisions.

Dr. Mazlin is highly recommended for Brises by many Obstetricians and Pediatricians, as well as by many Rabbis from virtually every Reform and Conservative synagogue in Manhattan including: Temple Shaaray Tefila, Central Synagogue, Steven Wise Free Synagogue, Rodeph Shalom, Temple Emanu-El, and Temple Israel, just to name a few. Every one of these synagogues will warmly recommend Dr. Mazlin as a Mohel.

 

​Dr. Mazlin has been a member of NOAM (National Organization of American Mohelim) since 1986.  He has been on the Bris Milah Board – which certifies and qualifies physicians who are candidates to be ordained by Hebrew Union College from the Reform movement.

 

He has also played an active leadership role in the above-mentioned organizations which have been jointly sponsored by the Union of American Hebrew Congregations (UAHC) as well as the Central Conference of American Rabbis (CCAR.)
